Job Description:

Parsons' mission critical Space and Geospatial Solutions team is looking to add a sharp Costpoint Analyst to our growing team.

We are seeking a Costpoint Analyst , supporting all Satellite Operations Prototyping and Integration (SPI) initiatives - a full time position located in Colorado Springs, CO. The SPI program is a growing contract supporting Enterprise Ground Services - a program of record for Space force. This role includes supporting all aspects of Costpoint system implementation initiatives. This individual will be partnering with the Business Process Leads and functional organizations to assist in developing processes to track and exchange information regarding bills or material, purchases, and financial reporting from Costpoint. This individual may assist in defining system requirements, analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and/or improve processes during Costpoint Implementation & Migration initiatives

Responsibilities may include:

  • Act as a Costpoint subject matter expert (SME) and assist the SPI program in utilization of the DELTEK ERP (Costpoint with emphasis on Materials/Engineering Modules) and associated interfaces to CLM systems such as Agile.

  • Perform research and analysis of the SPI program's business process, develop reports and other major documents in support of tracking program activities.

  • Serve as a Costpoint SME for Deltek ERP and Engineering CLM systems in support of multiple SPI teams and stay informed of new and/or changes in business rules and polices, and make recommendations to stay compliant

  • Act as a liaison between Program Management and the functional departments and business process leads to determine business needs and recommend appropriate solutions within assigned financial functional areas.

  • Assist in identifying improvements to material tracking, procurement, and business processes.

  • Answer questions associated with design of the Costpoint application, its features, and its capabilities and provide input for design and construction of test cases and business scenarios when needed.

  • Be cable of Sourcing, planning and the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material.

  • Reviews proposals, works with procurement to negotiate prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement.

  • Coordinates and follows up with production, supplier, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.

  • Effectively coordinates /communicates on a daily basis with the engineering managers/requesters, co-workers, and the program office

  • Performs Planner duties in support of the Program management team's efforts ranging from the East to West costs of the US

  • May attend program and/or customer meetings

  • Sources assigned Purchase (Material) Requests (experience with CostPoint is a requirement for this role)

  • Assists Program Management to ensure the unimpeded flow of material and services through the Acquisition, Integration, Production, and Delivery processes

  • Coordinates with procurement each step of the process from cradle to grave

  • Thoroughly understands contract schedule and material requirements, and is abreast of internal/external policies and procedures

  • Contributes to affordability through supplier collaboration and development

  • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

  • Ensures 100% COMPLIANT procurements and mitigates risk to the company and program through process excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement

  • The candidate accepts that they will need to support other duties as assigned by the program management team.

Required Experience:

  • 4 years experience with Costpoint

  • Experience Configuring Costpoint Materials/Manufacturing modules

  • Understanding of tables involved in Materials modules ( including BOMs, Inventory, Parts, ECNs, etc.)

  • Attention to detail

  • Moderate or greater proficiency with Excel functions and workbooks

  • Ability to develop, prioritize, organize, and accomplish work

  • Ability to manage one's own time

  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate options to choose the best solution and solve problems

  • Ability to work independently and as a group

  • Detail oriented and task driven

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Maintains a valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance provider/program

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understand federal government regulations (both current and expected changes) relevant to all company services

  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers, vendors, clients in a professional manner

  • Good to excellent computer skills and proficient with MS Office

  • Knowledge of various contract billing types including but not limited to fixed price, time and materials, and cost plus

  • Knowledge of various business terminology including IDIQs, Risk Management, Period of Performance, work breakdown structures, etc.

  • Ability to read and comprehend moderate to complex written and oral communication

Security Clearance: Eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and other as needed.

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $115,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401K.
