Our team is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with an enterprise software development background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the US Space Force as a member of Parsons' Space Operations Directorate. You will work with software engineers, UI/UX specialists and space analysts to provide the pipeline for building and delivering these capabilities. The physical location for this work will be in the Parsons office, Colorado Springs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an engineering field with at least 5 years technical experience. Relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree

  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g. Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, Fortify)

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure Cloud services

  • Experience developing secure code using current security protocols to include OAuth2 and/or implementations such as OpenID Connect

  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell)

  • Ability to support and troubleshoot issues on common Operating Systems (e.g. MacOS, Windows, Linux, yum/apt/brew)

  • Experience with Unit/Integration Testing (Junit, SonarQube, Fortify)

  • Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.

  • Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English

  • Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Experience with application deployment in Docker Containers

  • Experience with Kubernetes, KNative, Istio and other container orchestration tools

  • Experience with configuration management/deployment tools (Kubectl, Ansible, Puppet, Helm)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages

  • Highly Desired: Java and Maven build processes

  • Experience with client account technical support (Windows Active Directory, DNS, application upgrades)

  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts (Firewall, WiFi and VPN setup)

  • Willingness to assist teammates with development environment configuration

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $110,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off and 401K.Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
