Description:

Space Ground System Solutions has an immediate full-time opening for a Full Stack Web Developer. The position will be responsible for development of software for satellite command, control and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities – Essential Functions:

  • Develop front-end and back-end software for web applications in a Linux RHEL environment.

  • Participate in UI design for web applications.

  • Develop React/JavaScript and Java software.

  • Perform System and Software level Integration and Test.

  • Design and implement software for a large-scale command and control system.

  • Create and execute integration and system tests and document test procedures.

  • Redesign C++ desktop user interfaces for the web.

  • Troubleshoot software system issues.

  • Work in a dynamic, fast paced, & sometimes pressured environment.

Required Skills/Abilities – Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of web application architecture.

  • Experience developing web applications.

  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript and JavaScript libraries.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of web development experience in a Linux environment.

  • Experience with React.

  • Proficiency developing and testing software in a Linux environment.

  • Experience documenting test results for corrective actions.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

  • Desire to work in the space industry developing satellite command and control systems for test and operations.

  • Experience using software configuration management tools (examples: ClearCase, GIT, Mercurial, etc.).

  • Experience interacting with databases (examples: Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, etc.).

  • Experience writing scripts (examples: shell scripting, PERL, etc.).

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must meet eligibility requirements associated with obtaining a DoD Secret clearance.

Anticipated compensation (median) for this position: $130,000 annually. However, Parsons considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, clearance level, education/training, and key skills.

This position pays a minimum annual salary of $110,600.00 and a maximum annual salary of $199,100.00.
