Develops, maintains, and implements information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for applications and databases. Ensures that systems and organizational databases are protected from unauthorized access and use. Monitors systems, identifies threats, and handles disaster recovery operations.
Performs assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).
Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports for obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. This includes process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections, and periodic audits.
Assists in the implementation of required government policy (e.g., RMF, NISPOM, DCID 6/3), and makes recommendations on process tailoring.
Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and recommends additional security requirements and safeguards where required.
Supports the formal Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government assessment authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports.
Periodically conducts a review of each system’s audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
Leads a project team in the application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
Configures systems and tools including ACAS, HBSS, SCC. Prepares reports on compliance and vulnerability scans.
Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative.
Works under consultative direction toward predetermining long-range targets.
Provides advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise.
Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
Prior JSIG ISSE experience.
Willing to maintain clearance.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering (or related curriculum) from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience
15+ years of related professional experience
Knowledge of systems analysis, strategic planning methodologies
- An advanced degree may be preferred at this level.
This position pays a minimum annual salary of $110,600.00 and a maximum annual salary of $199,100.00.
