We are supporting a game-changing software development approach in support of the United States Air Force (USAF) and the larger Space Community through robust DevSecOps pipelines and containerized deployments to help deliver new capabilities to everything from operations centers to F-16 platforms in support of the warfighter. Our team is looking for an experienced System Administrator with a broad enterprise DevOps background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a highly collaborative, multi-contractor support team while also being embedded directly with government customers. We're looking for team players and possess strong communication skills.
You will be supporting the development and deployment of DevOps capabilities as well as space mission applications for a wide range of government customers. Flexibility to work across different job roles such as IT Support, DevOps or Development is essential. Physical location for this work will be at Catalyst Campus in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado with the potential to telework. Catalyst Campus, located in the historic train station in downtown Colorado Springs, provides an open, collaborative work environment that inspires creative problem solving where engineers can work hard and play hard. Occasional offsite support may also be required at Schriever AFB and/or Peterson AFB.
Candidate must have strong troubleshooting and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members.
Required Skills: * Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with at least 2 years of experience in system administration or operations. Relevant experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be accepted in place of a degree
System Administration skills in Linux, Windows, and/or MacOS* Some familiarity with full DevOps toolchain (JIRA, GitLab, Jenkins, Fortify, Artifactory)* Some knowledge and experience with Cloud Computing and Amazon Web Services* Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, Python for troubleshooting and automation of routine tasks* Experience maintaining multiple baseline environments (production, test, development)
Experience with installation and maintenance of Single Sign-On (SSO) and authentication/authorization software e.g. Active Directory, Keycloak
High level of self-motivation, ability to define, manage, and prioritize tasks in a team environment and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, enjoy customer interactions
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities* Willingness to participate in a pair-programming work environment
DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CCNA, etc.) or ability to obtain
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills* Must be a US citizen due to DoD contract Desired Skills: * Knowledge and experience with Docker Containers and Kubernetes* Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)* Knowledge of networking fundamentals to include Firewall, WiFi and VPN setup* Experience with administration of configuration management software and automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)* Knowledge with implementation and maintenance of backup and recovery solutions* Knowledge and understanding of software agile development life cycle processes* Experience with interpretation and application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Experience with cybersecurity tools e.g. ACAS, SIEM, HBSS
Top Secret clearance with DCID eligibility for SCI
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to configure and operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
