Parsons is currently working on the design, creation, and evolvement of innovative modeling and simulation solutions serving the Aerospace and Defense communities. Our team is looking for a talented and creative Principal Software Engineer to assist in the expansion of these capabilities. You will be a part of a technology baseline that has the potential to revolutionize future Aerospace and Defense acquisition.

Parsons offers very competitive compensation, commensurate with experience and knowledge who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as a member of Parsons’s Space Operations Directorate. You will work at the customer location, occasionally as needed, and your primary work location at Parsons Colorado Springs, where you’ll be helping to develop domain models, interfaces to physics-based models, and system and user messaging and notification capabilities. You will work with space analysts and other software engineers under excellent direction from the Project Technical Lead.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer and typically 10+ years of related professional experience. An advanced degree such as computer science, engineering, or physics may be preferred at this level.

Very skilled with a least three programming languages including Java and C/C++.

Must be willing and comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.

Requires great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members

Good technical writing skills.

Must be a U.S. Citizen due to DoD contract.

Possessing an active TS or TS/SCI clearance is a plus but not required.

This position pays a minimum annual salary of $110,600.00 and a maximum annual salary of $199,100.00.
