Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a sharp Space Systems Engineer to join our growing team!
The CSAR program supports on-orbit operations as well as launch and early orbit operations. Parsons' Space Engineering Services directorate has an opening for a Ground Systems Engineer to support our growing engineering business to join our CSAR efforts in Colorado Springs, CO. For this role you should have a knowledge of ground systems, command & control, and operations. You should be able to focus on individual tasks or projects with minimal supervision, generating all relevant work products, while providing status and raising concerns to technical leaders. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged and technical challenges are the norm.
We're looking for someone with a strong background and experience with performing the Product Owner role. The ability to manage and track all Features and Stories (including Tasks) through the agile process we’ve implemented is a must and will give you a leg up while also getting up to speed on the other requirements for the position. In this role you will work with developers and testers to decompose and assess customer and user requests, then attend planning meetings to ensure content is available in our iterations/increments and ultimately releases as they push out to the other baseline locations.
What You'll Be Doing :
Identify, assess, and develop risk mitigation strategies throughout the system lifecycle
Provide system troubleshooting at production facilities in Colorado Springs, Peterson AFB, and Schriever AFB
Participate and support technical working groups such as the system engineering integrated product team (SE IPT), telemetry and command working group (TCWG), orbit analysis working group (OAWG), simulation and training working group (STWG), mission planning working group (MPWG), scheduling and planning working group (SAPWG), and configuration control board (CCB).
Develop system documentation required as part of the sustainment process to include artifacts such as systems specifications and interface design descriptions
Perform issue analysis in support of the CPASC Systems Engineering team to include trade studies and life-cycle cost analysis
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Bachelor's Degree in STEM field
3+ years of relevant experience
What Desired Skills You Might Bring :
Active TS/SCI
Experience with SCN
Experience with satellite ground systems
Proficient on the CCS-C system
Knowledge of the CPASC architecture
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Secret

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $168,700.00
