Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior or Principal Test Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop tests against system requirements, interact and oversee other members of the technical staff, perform testing of electronic assemblies, systems, software, and networks .

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Works with electronic assemblies, systems & sub-systems, software, and networks.

  • Attend requirements gathering and analysis sessions – expand understanding of the intended requirements of system design and functionality.

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain system test & regression plans, test cases & procedures, and associated documentation to reduce verification cycles.

  • Perform functional and system analysis during test planning.

  • Design, setup, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple test environments.

  • Develop testing methodologies and protocols – implement approaches & practices to facilitate testing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Perform, analyze, and verify resolutions to anomalies – determine system validity with measured behavior against system requirements.

  • Document, compile, and analyze testing results – provide feedback to all stakeholders’ test conclusions.

  • Generate reports, related documentation, and testing outcomes. Present results in a variety of settings (technical and non-technical) to multiple audiences, customers, and stakeholders.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Proficient with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and other various electronic equipment.

  • Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and diagnose & resolve problems with test equipment and associated software.

  • Proven experience with electrical & mechanical design, including reading schematics and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts.

  • Adapt quickly to alternating priorities and requirement changes, with the ability to manage both while meeting deadlines.

  • Forward thinker who has the ability to work independently, is self-motivated, and requires minimal direction and/or supervision with a high probability of mission success.

  • Providing advice & guidance to entry-level members of the staff.

  • Must be able to work standalone or act as a project lead of up to 10 peers.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal & written communications, to include writing technical documentation and conducting presentations.

  • Ability to work well with others in a challenging and dynamic environment.

  • Electronics experience with analog & digital topology.

  • Proven experience with Ethernet networking concepts, technology, and architectures.

  • Management experience is a plus.

  • Linux experience is a plus.

  • Scripting experience is a plus – LabVIEW, JAVA, Python.

  • RF experience is a plus – including signal propagation and antenna theory.

  • Adapt to new challenges & learn new competencies.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with Boundary Scan/JTAG

  • Management experience is a plus.

  • Linux experience is a plus.

  • Scripting experience is a plus – LabVIEW, JAVA, Python.

  • RF experience is a plus – including signal propagation and antenna theory.

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
