In this role, you will provide system engineering support, build, administer and maintain multiple virtualization infrastructures, and tag in on network infrastructure engineering efforts.You’ll be working with a team of driven technical staff to develop solutions to tough problems, applying you accumulated knowledge while honing your skills on cutting-edge projects.

The objectives of this role are to:

  • Build and maintainnetworks consisting of a mix of physical and virtual equipment.

  • Configure and administer nextgeneration firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, McAfee) and suggest new rules,routines, and indicators of compromise.

  • Build and maintain complexLinux systems running CentOS and hardened to meet operational standards

  • Enable orchestration andautomation of the entire system from start to maintenance through Puppet,Kickstart, and Bash/Python scripts.

  • Troubleshoot systems andnetworks to maintain efficiency and uptime.

  • Create and update health andstatus monitoring solutions to always know weak points.

  • Set up or assist with Microsoftenvironments (e.g. Group Policy, Active Directory), container technologieslike Docker, and Gluster/libvirt Linux knowledge/abilities.

  • Support cyber ranges consistingof 100s to 1000s of Windows VMs using open source and commercial software.

  • Exercise infrastructuresprimarily using VMware products.

  • Lead network engineeringefforts through subject matter expertise.

  • Work collaboratively with otherteam members to solve challenging problems, research new and effectivesolutions, and identify avenues for innovation


  • 12 years systems engineering experience; up to 6 years may be substituted for education (4 years for a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, an additional 2 years for a master's degree)

  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) Certification

  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance plus poly


  • Experience with Windows desktopand server operating systems

  • Experience with Linux

  • Experience with server hardwaretroubleshooting

  • Experience with PCAP andNetflow Data Collection

  • Experience with TCP/IP routingand switching

  • Experience with standardnetwork services—DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog, etc.

  • Experience with VMware VSpheresuite—ESXi, vCenter

  • Experience with Cisco routersand switches

  • Experience with Cisco DMVPN

  • Experience with ASA firewall with remote accessVPN connections

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph
