Parsons Corporation Virtualization Platform and Application Administrator in Dahlgren, Virginia
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Parsons is actively seeking an experienced system administrator for a full-time position in the Engagement Systems Division of our Dahlgren, Virginia office. This position will require an individual who will coordinate the design, build, procurement, installation, activation, and deployment of an IT system to host a local virtualization platform. This project is in support of the migration of a software development environment from a legacy network to a modern CI/CD pipeline.
Project Required Skills:
2+ years Red Hat Enterprise Linux (installation, configuration, maintenance)
Working knowledge in virtualization and containerization tools:
o Red Hat Virtualization (RHV)
o Red Hat OpenStack
Project Desired Skills :
- Knowledge of Red Hat infrastructure tools:
o IdM suite
- Knowledge of / Experience with Cybersecurity tools:
o DISA STIGs
o SCC/SCAP Tools
o Tenable Security Center, Nessus
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent to Satisfy DoD 8570 IAT Level II
- Experience with the following scripting and programming languages:
Demonstrated knowledge of physical and virtual network design and implementation
Insight on CI/CD architecture and pipelines
Military experience or prior experience working in a DoD customer environment
Familiarity with US Navy Programs of Record
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited institution (A combination of years of experience, education, training, and certifications Can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree)
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
