Parsons Cloud Services Team is now accepting applications from Electrical / Computer Engineering and Computer Science Students for a new summer internship program. Students who are interested in learning cloud DevOps concepts, working with cloud environments such as AWS/Azure, Kubernetes/Container Orchestration, and Software Development are encouraged to apply. Leverage your current classroom experience with real-world, hands on experience, developing Cloud Native Applications, migrating existing software applications to the cloud, software development, container development and container orchestration.
Interested students should be self-starters, have reliable transportation to the Denver Tech Center and currently enrolled in an accredited 4 year Engineering or Computer Science institution.
In this role, under direction from senior engineers, you will perform a variety of basic to moderately difficult engineering support assignments, often as a member of a team. These assignments will require a fundamental understanding of software development, cloud technologies, software development, scripting, and information systems. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your willingness to work hard, will propel your career and opportunities moving forward. We expect our interns to be enthusiastic, on-item, flexible, and enjoy working in collaborative working environment. Interns should expect to work in a iterative environment were initial failure is expected and independent testing/research is required to deliver an optimal solution.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level US Government security clearance which requires US citizenship
Enrolled in an engineering or computer science curriculum at an accredited college or university and completed one year of study.
Understanding of POSIX operating systems
Basic understanding of Cloud Computing Technologies
Basic understanding of Container (Docker/Podman/OCI) technologies
Basic understanding of software engineering including application build and deployment concepts
Basic BASH scripting experience
Understanding of Agile and DevOps software methodologies
