Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled CAD Specialist/Designer with expertise in creating detailed floor plans, wall elevations, wiring schematics, equipment assemblies, and data tables for design and engineering projects. As a CAD Designer, you will play a critical role in our team by surveying buildings, rooms, and equipment, utilizing field notes provided by others, and producing precise design documentation. This position requires attention to detail, CAD proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products.
Location: Primarily office located in Destin, FL but requiring both on-site and office work, including travel to project sites, both domestic and international.
What You Will Be Doing:
Building and Equipment Documentation:
Utilize survey data and field notes provided by project teams to create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, including floor plans, wall elevations, and equipment assemblies.
Generate wiring schematics for electrical and data systems.
Produce orthographic and isometric equipment assembly drawings to ensure accurate installation.
Data Generation and Documentation:
Create and maintain data tables in various formats, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Obtain and organize system datasheets and installation manuals for specified components.
Integrate data into design documentation to support project requirements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to fulfill contractual obligations and meet project deadlines.
Participate in design development and coordination meetings, providing expertise in documentation and CAD drafting.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role, with expertise in creating detailed architectural and equipment drawings.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and experience with CAD-related tools for electrical and data system documentation.
Strong organizational skills to manage and integrate data from various sources.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks.
Familiarity with building systems, equipment specifications, and documentation standards.
Secret security clearance is required.

$21.44 - $37.55
