Parsons Corporation Utilities Engineer in Doha, Qatar
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Prepares engineering reports, design criteria, guidelines, and procedures.
Frequently interfaces with client representatives, consultant, contractors and external stakeholders.
Prepares complex hydrological studies of desert, arid and sami-arid region.
Provides technical guidance in valuation engineering, and quality improvement requirement.
May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
4-year degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
Should be registered with the relevant engineering body in Qatar.
Minimum 10+ years experience in mechanical engineering in infrastructure, utilities and landscape projects involving design and construction of mechanical systems (water/ wastewater pump station, wastewater treatment plants, piping systems for water distribution, wastewater collection, drainage, gas, district cooling, etc..)
Knowledge of codes, design manuals and construction practices.
Experience in the factory acceptance and other testing and commissioning activities of these systems.
Good written and oral communication.
Proven ability to perform key technical role.
Experience in testing and commissioning of these systems.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
Knowledge of current technology and its effective use on the project.
