Job Description:

Parsons seeks a talented, energetic, web developer with excellent communication skills to join our development team working on collaborative software technologies for the U.S. Army at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The candidate will be experienced in development of dynamic, high performance web pages using the Angular framework and related technologies. Responsibilities:

  • Back-end software development (Java, PostgreSQL)

  • Feature enhancements, bug fixes, code reviews, build processes, and release documentation

  • Software Development Kit (SDK) implementation and maintenance

  • Application Programmer Interface (API) design and development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline

  • Knowledge of web-based software architectures, languages, and tools

  • Experience working in a GitLab DevOps environment

  • Experience using Atlassian developer tools such as Jira, Confluence, Fisheye and Bitbucket

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. Current clearance preferred.

Preferred/Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems

  • Experience with Agile methodologies in a software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment

  • Front-end development experience (HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, Web APIs)

  • Experience creating and working with Virtual Machines (VMs)

  • Experience with cloud-based environments such as AWS

  • Experience with or knowledge of DoD messaging formats and protocols

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified SAFe® Agile Software Engineer

  • Participation in daily scrum standups, sprint and iteration demos, planning and retrospectives

Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Salary Range:

$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
