Job Description:
The Edmonton Valley Line West LRT project is a 14-km extension of the soon to be in service Valley Line in Edmonton, Alberta. This Joint Venture project is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk.
The role is site based and will require relocation for candidates not already living in Edmonton.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will report to a Project Accountant and will administer all aspects of the accounts payable process.
Responsibilities:
Provide information to Project Accountants and other project stakeholders as required.
Manage the project’s Accounts Payable Outlook inbox
Manage the project’s open and urgent Accounts Payable trackers
Compile invoice backup and upload invoices into OnBase for processing
Upload invoices into an electronic SharePoint workflow for approval
Process non-PO and PO invoices in JDE
Coordinate payment runs
Review and manage various Accounts Payable queues in OnBase
Confirm vendor banking information and set up same in OnBase
Coordinate with Procurement for various source documentation
Coordinate with Cost Control on cost coding of non-PO invoices
Review and action vendor statements
Prepare accrual list at month-end
Prepare AP aging list at month-end
Other tasks as assigned by Project Accountants and Finance Manager

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel
Knowledge of JD Edwards and/or OnBase is an asset
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree/College Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent work experience
3+ years of related work experience
