Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Office Quality Coordinator to join our team!
Track, monitor and ensure all Non Conformances and Corrective Actions are implemented and closed out in a timely manner.
Communicate all Corrective Actions to relevant parties.
Support external ISO 9001 registration and assessment audit programs
Perform all follow up and documentation requests as required.
Become the go-to person for all project related documentation.
Ensure understanding of the code and specification requirements applicable to the specific scope of work.
Review the material receiving process to ensure all received materials are in conformance with the approved submittal, stored and handled appropriately.
May attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate project requirements.
Follow up status of issued non-conformance reports.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system.
Recommend and implement improvements when required.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Good knowledge and experience in the implementation of problem-solving methodology and performance of root cause analysis (i.e. Six Sigma)
Good knowledge and experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, CSA and ASTM codes.
Experience interpreting codes and specifications.
Thorough knowledge of general construction methods and construction codes.
Understands how to research and locate manufacturer's product data and installation guidelines.
Knowledge of building envelope construction and materials.
Understands the requirements of fire-rated construction requirements.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and quality management systems.
5 years' experience in reviewing quality control and quality assurance programs for large construction projects (100M+)
Experience with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to reach mutually agreeable solutions to technical or field issues.
