Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Office Quality Coordinator to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Track, monitor and ensure all Non Conformances and Corrective Actions are implemented and closed out in a timely manner.

  • Communicate all Corrective Actions to relevant parties.

  • Support external ISO 9001 registration and assessment audit programs

  • Perform all follow up and documentation requests as required.

  • Become the go-to person for all project related documentation.

  • Ensure understanding of the code and specification requirements applicable to the specific scope of work.

  • Review the material receiving process to ensure all received materials are in conformance with the approved submittal, stored and handled appropriately.

  • May attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate project requirements.

  • Follow up status of issued non-conformance reports.

  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system.

  • Recommend and implement improvements when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

  • Good knowledge and experience in the implementation of problem-solving methodology and performance of root cause analysis (i.e. Six Sigma)

  • Good knowledge and experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

  • Knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, CSA and ASTM codes.

  • Experience interpreting codes and specifications.

  • Thorough knowledge of general construction methods and construction codes.

  • Understands how to research and locate manufacturer's product data and installation guidelines.

  • Knowledge of building envelope construction and materials.

  • Understands the requirements of fire-rated construction requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management systems.

  • Preferred

  • 5 years' experience in reviewing quality control and quality assurance programs for large construction projects (100M+)

  • Experience with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to reach mutually agreeable solutions to technical or field issues.
