In this role you will be engaged in the hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis of all aspects of transportation projects, including rivers, ponds, culverts, storm drains, floodplains and grading. You will prepare and review drawings for final design, construction, detour, and erosion control and prepare and review design reports. You can expect to prepare permit documents, specifications and estimates and perform quantity calculations and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to assure the design and any technical reports are accurate.
Independently develop engineering drainage and hydrology designs for road, highway, and related transportation projects.
Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, construction plans and documents, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
Utilize Microstation and Inroads Drainage Software
BS degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology or related field
8+ years of related design experience with drainage and hydrology for roads and highways or bridges or similar projects.
PEng. is required.
Design/Build experience is preferred
Experience working with Ministry of Transportation requirements fo r Alberta is preferred and experience working with Ministry of Transportation requirements in any Canada province is required.
