Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Construction Project Manager to join our team! Your expertise in municipal infrastructure engineering will provide the support needed to rehabilitate or upgrade underground infrastructures, and transportation assets. You will coordinate the effort of our design team, liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage, and administer projects while overseeing the contractor’s performance with the assistance of inspectors. With clients being Parsons’ primary focus, you will be the key interface and primary point of contact on project-related matters. You will manage the relationships with existing clients for the successful delivery of projects, support in pursuing new opportunities with coordinating and preparing proposals, to strengthen the company’s market share in Western Canada.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Function as part of the Western Canada municipal team with covering projects in Western Canada.

  • Participate in the strategic business development and team building across the region.

  • Act as a lead on current and new opportunity pursuits.

  • Conduct infrastructure condition assessments for the purpose of evaluating the client’s needs.

  • Conduct the construction administration and inspection of the work performed by others.

  • Understand, interpret, and apply the contract conditions.

  • Supervise designs, contract preparation, and authenticate professional work products.

  • Drafts contracts for sizeable engineering/construction management projects.

  • Write technical reports and any deliverables required by clients.

  • Drafts contracts for large engineering/construction management projects. Proposes alternative text/clauses to client contracts, as appropriate for the Company business.

  • Generates and maintains documentation for negotiating change orders. Prices and drafts change orders and amendments. Follows through to ensure that contractual coverage is implemented.

  • Manage and administer projects with promoting quality, sustainability, value, timeliness, and profitability.

  • Identifies contractual problems and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Eligibility for Professional Membership with the engineering or technologist associations in Western Canada.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Municipal and Transportation works.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.

  • Strong technical background in road and bridge size culverts rehabilitation and construction.

  • Strong technical background in municipal transportation infrastructures.

  • Requires a working knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Certification to conduct site survey or material testing would be an asset.

  • Experience with sizeable engineering/construction projects would be an asset.

Salary Range:

$110,100 - $204,600
