Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW :Confirms data is being managed for the lifecycle of the sample collection, testing, and reporting process on the Expansion of U.S. Testing Capacity Using Coordination Hubs programs. Responsible to ensure that a large quantity of medical testing results are being reported properly in accordance with date protection requirements such as HIPPA, PCI and PHI requirements. Has the knowledge of both the work processes and data management including the use of electronic systems used to manage data. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Responsible for the management of the overall communications network.

  • Leads the deployment of the GeoWare and DetectWise™ to the Coordination Hub members, distributors, sample collection sites, and laboratories.

  • Responsible for working with Coordination Hub members, distributors, sample collection sites, and laboratories to ensure they have connectivity to GeoAware and DetectWise™.

  • Works with users of DetectWise™ to receive their questions and user issues and provide solutions with the support from the Software Engineer and Systems Integration Engineer.

  • Works closely with the Systems Integration Engineer and Software Engineer to obtain resolutions to questions and issues raised by the GeoAware and DetectWise™ users.

  • Performs regular analysis of the data reporting in GeoWare/DetectWise™ to ensure data is being reported properly and in compliance with the 48 hour reporting requirement.

  • Provides regular reporting to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager concerning the status of data reporting on the program.

  • Responsible for Data Protection Compliance to make sure the HIPPA, PCI, and PHI sensitivity requirements are achieved.

  • Provides training to Parsons Administrative personnel who will have access to sensitive data to ensure that HIPPA, PCI and PHI data security requirements are achieved.

  • Administers data management applications.

  • Provides assistance to users in capturing and locating electronic information.

  • Maintains an established data distribution system and schedule for the assigned project based upon client, project, department, and supplier requirements. May revise system or schedule as required to ensure timely approvals and distribution. Expedites review, signature approval, and release of supplier and internally produced documents.

  • Verifies retention requirements, arranges document cataloging, packing, and long-term storage or disposal of appropriate documents at time of closeout. Manages scheduled destruction of archived documents according to company and/or Client guidelines; provides assistance with document retrieval.

  • Attends project meetings, as needed, to give data management input and to be kept current on project status.

  • Performs other duties commensurate with functional level and responsibilities.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 4-year degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of 10 - 15 years of related work experience in the field of Data Management, including 5 years experience in management capacity. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Requires management ability and knowledge of Data Management practices, processes and current technology.

  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly, conduct presentations to management and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.

  • Understanding of Medical Laboratory Processes and Procedures.

  • Understanding of Laboratory Quality Processes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with other departments in a tactful and effective manner.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical, problem solving, and risk assessment skills. Ability to make public presentations.

  • Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Visio. Project Planning skills are essential.

  • Strong attention to detail.
