Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Technician to join our team! In this role you will provide security services to the site.

Please note that this requisition is for ongoing and future needs. Responses may be delayed as these roles become available due to growth in the coming months. For candidates not local to Faro, these position work on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • ​Provide security services to the site including preventing and detecting signs of intrusion, ensuring security of doors, windows, and gates.

  • Oversees all security and surveillance issues

  • Answer alarms and investigates disturbances

  • Creates and provides various daily and monthly reports

  • Monitors and tracks all incoming and outgoing employees, customers, vendors and suppliers

  • Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency or presence of unauthorized persons

  • Ensures confidentiality is kept in accordance with laws regarding first aid

  • Perform labour duties as required including site and office maintenance

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and directing inquiries accordingly.

  • Greeting all personnel entering the FMRP in a courteous and efficient manner.

  • Other tasks related to general reception, including but not limited to, basic housekeeping of the Security Building workspace, making coffee, and ensuring kitchen area is well stocked.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

  • Must be able to effectively follow and give directions.

  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various elemental conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.

  • Team player/Excellent Communication Skills
