JOB DESCRIPTION Cyber Planner (CP) SUMMARY Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the cutting edge of cyber-security while supporting multidisciplinary mission assurance / vulnerability assessments on critical mission systems? Parsons provides comprehensive cyber security expertise for national defense programs and is seeking employees with an eye for detail, a drive to succeed, and a passion for ensuring mission success.The Cyber Planner (CP) is an integral member of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Mission Assurance/Vulnerability and Red Assessment Teams.The DoD's Mission Assurance/Vulnerability Team assess the survivability of critical U.S. and allied national/theater mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets. The Assessment teams aim to ensure continuity to critical DoD missions and infrastructure by assessing the vulnerabilities and survivability against a broad spectrum of threats including accidents, natural disasters, technological failure, cyber-attacks, terrorists/Nation-state actors, radio frequency (RF) weapons, sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).The DoD's premier Red Assessment Team is unique in that it performs assessments from an adversarial perspective, emulating the full spectrum of identified capabilities from lone actor to the well-financed terrorist organization to the foreign intelligence entities to demonstrate exploitation of vulnerabilities. As such, they are responsible for conducting all-source analysis and piecing together disparate information and reporting to form integrated views on cyber threat issues of national security.CPs will be the primary coordinator for cyber assessments liaising between customers, external stakeholders, assessment site POCs, and DTRA's technical SMEs.Duties are primarily executed at home station; however, assessment teams may deploy to high threat, but permissive environments anywhere in the world. Possible CONUS and OCONUS travel for durations of up to two weeks per trip.Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance eligibility required ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maximize the effectiveness and safety of cyber assessments
Understand customer assessment objectives and the technical requirements necessary to meet those objectives
Ensure the rules of engagement for cyber assessments abide by all applicable DoD and DTRA policies and procedures
Draft, coordinate, and maintain assessment-specific documents for network connection authorization, rules of engagement, and trusted agent agreements for assigned cyber activities
Act as the primary liaison between DTRA's technical SMEs and assessment customers and trusted agents, facilitating answers to questions or concerns that may arise during an assessment
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Possess minimum 3 years Cyber operational experience; preferably with the DoD, fusion center, and/or law enforcement communities is desired
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of cyber tools and processes for assessments
Experience coordinating assessments and access approvals
Experience with Microsoft Officer products
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
