Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Physical Security Specialist to join our team!

In this role, you will perform integrated, multidisciplinary assessments to evaluate the survivability of critical U.S. and allied mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).

Our Blue Team ensures the continuity of DoD missions and critical infrastructure by assessing vulnerabilities against a wide range of threats, including accidents, natural disasters, technological failures, information system attacks, terrorism, radio frequency weapons (RFW), sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

This challenging and exciting work offers the opportunity to travel both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) to key DoD defense systems and critical infrastructure, ensuring their survivability against various threats.

This is an exciting opportunity to travel globally and protect mission-critical infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conduct assessments of identified assets and supporting infrastructure to determine vulnerabilities that could pose risks to mission-critical infrastructure, including but not limited to network and data centers, telecommunications systems, airfields, nuclear weapons systems, forward operating bases, and the defense industrial base.

  • Provide recommendations to reduce overall risk by preventing or mitigating damage to or destruction of mission-critical systems in the event of plausible threats.

  • Review the overall physical security posture, security operations, and physical security systems designed to deny and delay threats. This includes lock and key systems, access control procedures, electronic security systems designed to detect and assess intrusion, insider threat mitigation, and response force capabilities.

  • Utilize expert knowledge of all aspects of risk management, security operations, and advanced security technologies.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical security within a DoD environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with DoD Security Directives, including their development and implementation across Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Joint DoD Security directives.

  • Familiarity with DoD force protection/antiterrorism programs and requirements.

  • Knowledge of security management, security operations, and security system analysis.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% per year.

  • Valid US passport.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments.

  • Capability to provide specific Subject Matter Expert (SME) assistance to Technical Support Projects (TSPs).

  • Experience in providing design review assistance and technical support to the Home Team.

Salary Range:

$61,200.00 - $123,400.00
