Job Description:

Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the cutting edge of cyber-security while supporting multidisciplinary mission assurance / vulnerability assessments on critical mission systems? Parsons provides comprehensive cyber security expertise for national defense programs and is seeking employees with an eye for detail, a drive to succeed, and a passion for ensuring mission success.

The Training and Certification Specialist is an integral member of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Red Assessment Team. The DoD Red Team historically conducted analytical and physical red team assessments. The Advance Red cyber operations is the newest component of the DoD Red Team and conducts threat emulative cyber assessments to further the goals of the DoD Red Team. The advance red cyber team compliments these capabilities with a cyber-component that provides a more holistic DoD Red Team assessment. Incorporating a cyber-assessment capability into the DoD Red Team allows for better emulation of a sophisticated multidisciplinary adversarial campaign. This synergistic method provides the DoD Red Team’s customers with a holistic, realistic, and actionable assessment of an adversary’s ability to identify, deny, degrade, or compromise critical DoD capabilities or exfiltration data. The Training and Certification Specialist will work with the team to track all members training and certification status to ensure that all members remain current and compliant with program requirements.

Assessment teams may deploy to high threat but permissive environments anywhere in the world. CONUS and OCONUS travel for durations of up to two weeks per trip.

Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance eligibility required.

What You'll Be Doing:

Oversees Certification and Accreditation processes in accordance with DTRA provided standards.

Demonstrates expertise in the DoD Cyber Red Team Certification and Accreditation processes, provide recommendations to advance red cyber leadership.

Liaise with other Certified and Accredited DoD Cyber Red Teams.

Liaise with Certification and Accreditation subject matter experts at NSA and USCYBERCOM.

Create and maintain internal documentation supporting emergent C&A requirements such as team operational policies and procedures.

Facilitate and track annual updates to policies, procedures, and SOPs. o Oversee all record keeping, including oversight and compliance logs and operator training and certification records.

Track all training certifications, requirements, and artifacts, to include operator DoD 8570.01-M requirements.

Validate that all Operator’s records are current, complete, and accurate on a routine basis, to include prior to any red cyber assessments.

Build and maintain Individual Development Plan (IDP) and On the Job Training (OJT) requirements and checklists as well as tracking operator progress in IDP and OJT activities based on requirements and guidance provided by advance red cyber leadership.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Possess a high school diploma or college degree in an administrative or technical filed with knowledge of the functional area typically obtained from on-the-job training, work experience, and/or military training and the following years of experience:

HS diploma and 8-10 years of experience

BS and 5-7 years of experience

MS and 3-5 years of experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Possess expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) to support team preparation of presentations, reports, and white papers.
