Job Description:

Parsons is seeking you - a masterful technical wizard who understands how to provide secure communications while maintaining and protecting key IT systems. You'll be supporting projects that will develop and implement next-generation CNO tools, systems, and capabilities to help revolution the cyber battlefield and ensure the superiority of our cyber forces over our adversaries. You'll coordinate with external entities, lead a team of IT network administrators to ensure ample support, work with engineers and cybersecurity personnel to ensure the mission effect is achieved, and utilize your technical expertise throughout the entire process to ensure everything is accomplished in a sound and secure manner.

You will:

  • Operate and defend IT networks for new or existing computer systems supporting the command or enterprise.

  • Translate operational requirements into execution actions

  • Manage change control procedures, help-desk support activities, and day-to-day actions in support of IT services

  • Evaluate network technologies and make recommendations to project managers regarding integration of these technologies into the existing network.

  • Utilize Cloud capabilities and architectures to address operational requirements


  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of IT Operations experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Systems Engineering, or related discipline

  • One of following security certifications (active status): CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO (Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level III Certification)

  • Active TS/SCI + CI Polygraph

Preferred / Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology regulations and processes

  • Knowledge of ITIL V3 IT Service Management

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Experience with continuous monitoring

  • Experience with IT Incident Response

  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to include developing the Program Protection Plan

  • System development and instantiation in virtualized environments and cloud infrastructures, especially Amazon AWS

  • Experience with military organizations, the military planning and operations processes, and cyberspace operations in particular

Location: Columbia/Fort Meade (OPS1)

Some Travel required

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
