Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Software Engineer/Developer to provide embedded operations support, capability integration, and rapid prototyping in support of USCYBERCOM. In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with headquarters and local customers to develop analytic capabilities. You’ll be a critical member on a small team, responsible for bringing your high-level software engineering skills to bear on a critical national security mission. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Configure, support and troubleshoot cloud and virtual environments/infrastructure including AWS and VMware

  • Maintain various operating systems in a variety of users and activities

  • Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards

  • Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks

  • Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditation

  • Determining appropriate IT policies, while creating and improving upon system documentation

  • Interact with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOM

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in application software development and system integration

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Add'l years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Active TS/SCI + Poly

Desired Qualifications :

  • Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)

  • Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environments

  • Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux, networking, and more

  • Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering/systems integration

  • Any applicable certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner, and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 2012/2016

  • Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Network Analysis Tools

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
