Job Description:

We’re looking for a Splunk Engineer/Administrator to work directly in a cybersecurity operations organization on an innovation-focused development team helping to ensure our customers' world-class CND capabilities stay ahead of the curve. You will work directly on improving Linux and Windows-based collection and analysis tools, including generating and contributing your own innovative ideas, to revolutionize analysis capabilities, including utilizing those same tools to do analysis.

Overview:

  • Work as part of a team to discover and capture cyber activity. Work side by side with mission analysts to improve their workflows, integrate new technologies into their baseline, develop prototypes, analytics, and scripts to improve how they do missions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a cyber environment.

  • Develop requirements, identify alternative solutions reviews, evaluate, and provide recommendations for those solutions.

  • Process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools and integration (with both new and existing systems).

  • Technologies used: Python, Splunk, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Apache, Jenkins, Git, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Twelve (12) years of Systems Engineering experience

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly required

  • Splunk experience required

  • Scripting experience (ex. Bash, Shell, etc)

  • Linux experience

  • Knowledge of XML structure, XML parsers, SQL and Perl a plus

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
