Are you a professional software engineer with experience in cyber security? If so, Parsons has an exciting opportunity for you! These are critical times in the world of cyber security, and Parsons need your help to make the world a safer and more secure place, one computer at a time.

In this position you will help the Cyber Security Operations shape and sync their analytic development across the entire organization. You will help identify, prioritize, and develop analytics for use across various organizations within CSO. The ideal candidate will have cyber analytic development and Map Reduce experience.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics or a related discipline may be substituted for four years of general experience

  • Five+ (5) years of general experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++ At least three (3) years of experience developing software in UNIX/Linux (Red Hat versions 3-5+) operating systems

  • Three+ (3) years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts

  • At least two (2) years of experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as HBase, Cloud Base/Accumulo, Big Table, etc

  • Two (2) years of experience with the Map Reduce programming model, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc

AN ACTIVE TS/SCI + POLY REQUIRED

Preferred:

  • Security+ Certification (must obtain prior to starting)

  • Demonstrated work experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSON

  • Demonstrated work experience with developing restful services, Ruby on Rails framework, LDAP protocol configuration management and cluster performance management (e.g. Nagios)

  • Demonstrated work experience developing solutions integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products

  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and shall have generated technical documents in support of a software development project

  • Demonstrated work experience with Source Code Management {e.g. Git, Stash, or Subversion, etc.)
