We are looking for a highly motivated Security Engineer with over five years of experience working in the information security field conducting vulnerability analysis on computer networks and software.Someone who hasexperience with industrial control system hardware, software and protocols; as well as astrong background in software development with C, C++ and Python.Also, experience with classified and open-source security tools and software frameworks.
Perform vulnerability research and analysis oncontrol system hardware and software
Perform directed research and create Proof ofConcept demonstrations
Design and develop tools in C, C++, C# andPython that extend the capabilities of control system hardware, software andtheir associated communication protocols
Design capabilities that are driven by either 1)an interactive operator 2) a configuration file or 3) environmental stimuli
Have experience with configuring and deployingremote network sensors using open-source and classified components anddatabases for detecting malicious activity on industrial control systemnetworks
Have conducted static and dynamic malicioussoftware analysis on suspect binary files in simulation networks
Interact with customer regularly to ensureproducts are aligned with the customer’s needs
Collaborate with other DoD organizations toensure capabilities align with their requirements and needs
Collaborate with commercial vendors and NationalLabs to best approach and accomplish the engineering task
Provide in-person support of developedcapabilities and operational expertise
Maintain test bed network for capabilityacceptance testing and an identical development network for analysis anddevelopment
Maintain exemplar test bed networks thatinterface with physical industrial control system components
Virtualize test bed networks from the physicalsystems (i.e. clone them) and interface their processing with ICS simulationsoftware (e.g. Triangle MicroWorks Test Harness)
Characterize the microelectronic components of adevice and their connectivity to better understand the technical overt systemprocess
Research in theintricacies of developing rootkit technologies and detection mechanisms
7+ years in security systems engineering development, technologies, andmethodologies
3 years of experience may be substituted with a bachelor’s degree incomputer science or a related field; an additional year for a master's degree
Experience in systemsengineering methodologies and technologies
