Parsons is seeking a Configuration Manager with a cybersecurity background that can support the Systems Engineering section of USCYBERCOM’s Capability Development Group. You’ll be a critical member on a small team, focused on configuration management (CM) planning and execution for the command.

As a Configuration Manager, you will:

  • Conduct CMplanning and describe provisions for configuration identification, changecontrol, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Develops documentation for CM planningand activities

  • Identify andmaintain the original and subsequent configuration versions ofrequirements documentation, design documentation, andnetwork/software/other related documentation

  • Manageconfiguration change control and regulates the change process so that onlyapproved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents andrelated hardware and software

  • Providetechnical assistance for maintaining and developing the CM environment forhardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration

  • Conductsconfiguration status accounting, and tracks and reports all CM problemsand changes in product documents/software

  • Conductsconfiguration audits and supports audits to verify that requirements ofall baselines have been met by the as-built software

  • Providestechnical assistance for software quality assurance process audits

  • With minimalguidance, defines, documents and maintains the Configuration Control Board(CCB), including roles and responsibilities of CCB members

  • With minimalguidance, defines hardware and software configuration processes andprocedures, version control processes, and policies and procedures toensure they are followed on hardware and software development projects

  • Assists withthe use of CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items

Additional skills that would help with position success:

  • A problemsolver who, can get in, be given a project, and use an engineeringapproach to find a solution

  • Has a generalunderstanding of the basic concepts of defining hardware and softwareconfiguration processes/procedures

  • Strongattention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communicationsskills.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in configuration management

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

  • Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I Certification (CAP, GSLC, Security+)
