We are hiring a Geotechnical Engineer in support of USACE and Tyndall Air Force Base Reconstruction.Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your advanced project and engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity to lead teams. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and leadership skills. In this role you will integrate the various engineering, scheduling, procurement, construction, and startup aspects of a small project. May manage a sub-task of a larger project or study in accordance with contractual obligations. Responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the project including coordination of technical disciplines, procurement of materials and equipment, and construction planning assistance. Relocation to the project site may be required during construction and startup activities. Responsibilities
Perform complex engineering tasks and particularly engineering and calculation efficiently and accurately.
Perform underground structure soil-structure interaction (SSI) analyses.
Detailed checking of design calculations performed by others.
Develop structural details and construction plans using Microstation or AutoCAD.
Prepare geometric layouts, construction specifications and material quantity calculations.
Supervise and provide guidance and direction to lower-level engineers and CAD Designers performing the above tasks.

Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders.
7+ years of design and construction experience with various foundation types
BS in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis
MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
Professional Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer licenses
Experience with complex and large-scale dewatering, settlement plate installation/monitoring, piezometer installation, and surcharge instrumentation monitoring systems within the past 5 years is preferred.
Good working knowledge of MS Office, and AutoCAD or MicroStation
