Job Description:

Senior technical leader and hands-on technologist, to lead a highly specialized team in the development of an Installation – Counter small Unmanned Aircrat System (I-CsUAS) solution. Individual will work with matrixed team of engineers, scientists, and mission experts to develop and refine the architecture and software for an I-CsUAS solution, integrating various radars, cameras, RF sensors, Command and Control systems, and other components.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Engineer Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and mission experts to develop an Installation – Counter small Unmanned Aircraft System (I-CsUAS) solution for the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Function as a Senior Engineer managing a multi-disciplinary team to develop I-CsUAS solutions for the USMC.

  • Provide engineering services in support of survey, design, test, integration, operations, and sustainment of the USMC I-CsUAS system per the system specifications.

  • Establish a software/hardware configuration management (CM) procedure and polices to follow a rigorous CM process aligned with the USMC process.

  • Support the development, establishment, and activation of a Government Systems Integration Lab to enable software/hardware CM. This includes providing technical support as needed to install, update, and maintain hardware, software, commercial off-the-shelf (COTs) components, firmware, test tools, emulators, and simulator.

  • Establish Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) procedures, aligned with USMC, to introduce any hardware/software baseline changes.

  • Implement and maintain a cybersecurity program the system, subsystems, and components of the system. This includes supporting the government in obtaining a USMC Authority to Operate (ATO) by providing a Risk Management Framework A&A Information Support Package.

  • Perform engineering studies, analysis and engineering technical assistance that lead to future system enhancements and ECPs improving overall system mission performance and operator efficiency. This effort shall address potential efficiencies in production, interface between subsystems and/or components, and insertion of leading-edge technologies or practices. This includes enhancements to optimize detection, tracking, identification and mitigation of CUAS threats using a variety of technology.

  • Mentor and lead technical staff in both direct report and matrixes capacities

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • BS, in System Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering

  • 7+ years of experience in Counter-UAS, unmanned vehicle engineering, and/or air defense systems

  • Experience with the spectrum of CUAS Radars, RF sensors, cameras, Command and Control (C2) systems, object detection software and Tactical displays.

  • Minimum of a Secret clearance

  • Ability and willingness to be very hands-on with software and hardware

  • Extensive experience with Java. Familiarity with Python, C+, C# preferred

  • Deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) applications in CUAS

  • Driven individual who will be relentless in moving the system forward and solving the most difficult customer problems.
