Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Logistician to join our team! In this role you will procure material, aid in tracking material procurements, perform inventories of Government Furnished Equipment, facilitate transfers of Government Furnished Material between military installations, and update a Government database with procurement details and tracking information, all while maintaining 100% accountability of all monitored Government Furnished Material

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Secret Clearance

  • Receiving procurement requests from field technicians.

  • Managing a procurement tracking tool to track procurements through to completion.

  • Forwarding procurement requests to Government for approval.

  • Purchasing material using various contract vehicles including but not limited to: Purchase Cards, Purchase Orders, BPAs, and invoice vouchers.

  • Transferring material between military installations in support of maintenance tickets.

  • Updating a Government database with all relevant procurement information to include but not limited to: shipment tracking information, estimated delivery dates, and creation of GFE records upon notification of receipt by field technicians.

  • Facilitation and management of freight shipments.

  • Working with the Project Coordinator to identify trends in procurements in support of Government contract requirements.

  • Managing and facilitating repairs of material (RMAs) when applicable in coordination with field technicians.

  • Facilitating turn-ins of DRMO (scrap) material to Defense Logistics Agency locations.

What Experience You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related discipline.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in conducting logistics operations or related discipline.

  • Familiarity with DelTek CostPoint preferred.

  • Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) purchasing/procurement clauses.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must be able to attain a security clearance.

  • Must possess aggressive, problem-solving mindset.

  • Familiarity with tenets of lean logistics operations.

  • Familiarity with DRMO turn-in process.

  • Regulatory Knowledge - Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to State, and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures. Ability to understand and follow governmental rules and regulations on electronic security system installation and maintenance.

  • Analytical/Procedural Skills - Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to analyze problems, identify causative factors, and apply actions to effectively resolve current issues and prevent recurrences of problem conditions.

  • Decision Making/Problem Solving and Judgement - Must demonstrate an ability to accurately identify issues and problems and determine optimal courses of action and outcomes.

  • Organizational Skills - Must be organized, flexible, and able to prioritize in a multi-demand and constantly changing environment without sacrificing accuracy or timeliness.

  • Interpersonal Skills - Must exercise excellent interpersonal skills - position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy, and an ability to establish and maintain effective working/professional relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Safety - Must be able to work in a safe manner at all times, avoiding shortcuts that have potential adverse results/risks, and must be able to comply with safety standards and best practices.

  • Computer Systems / Hardware / Software - Must possess appropriate levels of proficiency with utilized software and computer systems and be able to learn new software/systems. Must be familiar with IMMS/InfraLink. Familiarity with DelTek Cospoint also preferred.

  • Confidentiality - Must be able to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information and situations, and adhere to applicable laws/statutes/policies related to access, maintenance and dissemination of information.

Salary Range:

$29.42 - $51.49
