Job Description:

Ready to put your coordination expertise to work on complex, urban infrastructure projects? Are you great with people and have a track record managing teams that get the job done? Parsons is now hiring an experienced Senior Engineering Coordinator with a desire to work on creating innovative, practical solutions to various infrastructure projects out of our Halifax office.

In this role you will be responsible for overall coordination and support for our Regional Director and Project Managers in the efficient management of projects. Parsons’ extensive experience in this field, combined with your experience coordinating civil infrastructure projects through all phases of project inception, programming, design, and close-out will propel your career and leadership opportunities forward. We need our team to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, rapidly evolving team-oriented environments that have exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Main Responsibilities:

  • Supports Project Managers and/or Project Leads in the delivery of projects including financial tracking, monitoring schedule and cost performance, document control, forecasting, progress reporting and invoicing, Microsoft project schedule updates, and document control

  • Supports Project Managers and/or Project Leads with the coordination of consultants and contractors as well as regular review of their performance

  • Supports the Regional Director and Market Leads in pursuit of projects and development of proposal documents.

  • Preparation of materials for meetings, including attendance and preparation of detailed minutes of meeting.

  • Gathers, tracks, and prepares information for analysis and/or reporting. Proven working experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, as well as Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam Revu is an asset.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications skills to a variety of audiences.

  • Assists with the implementation of Health and Safety procedures in the workplace, as well as conducts other office administration duties.

  • This position reports directly to the Regional Director.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma program in science, mathematics, engineering, business or related field.

  • 8+ years related experience.

  • Demonstration of advance knowledge with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Outlook, Teams applications. Skills in using styles and cross-referencing in Word, advanced equations and macros in Excel.

  • Relevant academic, software and work experience may also be considered as equivalent for the right candidate with experience in similar operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications skills to a variety of audiences.

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
