Parsons Corporation Groundwater Treatment System Technician, North Haven, CT in Hartford, Connecticut
Ready to put your emerging skills to work on industrial wastewater treatment projects? Are you interested in pursing an industrial wastewater license? Parsons is now hiring a Technician with a desire to work in a support role alongside licensed Site Operations and Maintenance Manager on a large groundwater remediation project. The technician will assist with the operations and maintenance of a 60 gallon per minute groundwater recovery and treatment system.
In this role you will perform a variety of routine and some non-routine tasks in support of the professional staff within the assigned unit. Work assignments may be in the office and/or in the field.

Performs routine and occasionally heavy labor tasks related to on-site industrial waste, hazardous waste, field environmental surveys or wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.
May collect samples and maintain documentation in record logs.
Learns to operate trucks, pumps, generators, and other machinery and treatment equipment. Maintains appropriate logs of activities.
Assists in inspecting, testing, calibrating, repairing, and modifying control and instrumentation systems.
Assists in preparing required field and office reports of various activities and findings.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
High School diploma, or equivalent
2+ years of related work experience
Completion of a 40-hour OSHA training course (with an annual 8-hour update) is required for industrial or hazardous wastewater operations.
Familiarity with fundamental tasks and testing techniques related to operations
