Special Operation Forces (SOF) Scripter - JMRC REDS
The JMRC Operations Group (OPSGRP) located in Germany at the Hohenfels Training Area (HTA), Grafenwohr Training Area (GTA), Amberg Training Area (ATA) and when directed by the government, other Country Training Areas (OCTA) in the US European Command (EUCOM) area of responsibility has a critical requirement for mission-support services to enhance and facilitate rotational unit training. This effort is for a non-commercial contract that consists of a 12-month period-of-performance and four additional option periods. JMRC is one of three Combat Training Centers (CTCs) in the U.S. Army, and the only one located outside the United States. JMRC plans and conducts maneuver training exercises for brigade‐size units preparing to conduct high‐intensity, counter‐insurgency, peacekeeping, and other military operations. The Training Center provides a myriad of indispensable capabilities to the U.S. Army, our European allies and other partners. Unique to this CTC is that JMRC integrates multinational participation into every rotation.
This is one FTE and one PTOC position located the Joint Multinational Readiness center (JMRC) at Hohenfels, Germany.
• Support the REDS the JMRC’s Senior Interagency Training Advisor.
• The SOF Scripter provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in support of the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) rotational teams design support (REDS) team.
• Supports the REDS effort as it relates to rotational training unit (RTU) training center’s Special Operations requirements in the form of exercise planning and execution and scenario development.
The SOF Scripter MUST possess the level of communication skills required to authoritatively and efficiently brief military and civilian leadership via written products or presentations and is proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Possess a Master’s Degree in Military/Political Science or General Management with five years of military experience; OR possess a Bachelor’s degree with at ten (10) years of military experience. o Military experience is defined as:
Experience as a SOF operator with strong knowledge of tactical level SOF operations with OEF/OIF
Experience with the USSOCOM Operations with special emphasis on CJSOTF Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) including interface with Joint Task Force (JTF) and other higher headquarters involved in Unconventional Warfare (UW)
Experience in the design of exercises, scenarios, and the management of JMSEL events; experience with the Timed Phased Force and Deployment Data; experience with integrating the engagement Warfighting Function (WfF) into scenarios; knowledge of the SOF structure and interrelationships and knowledge of service/joint doctrine;
Experience with operation orders developing and capable of producing Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command (CFSOCC) operations orders, warning orders, fragmentary orders, target packets, and complex battlefield injects.
Assist the SOF SME planner during the rotational exercise planning cycle and product development. Serve as a SOF Scripter during exercise execution (iaw the JMRC DEXR cycle), while working within the CFSOCC Operations and Intelligence Fusion Cell. Specified duties include:
Assist in the development of detailed, linked, and complete CFSOCC WARNO, OPORD, FRAGOs, Complex Battlefield Instructions (CBI), and target packets during all SOF training rotations.
Serve as the lead for Complex Battlefield Instructions (CBI) development.
Create SOF Rotational Target Packets within Rotation Training Unit’s training tasks/requirements for the full spectrum of special operations. This includes Foreign Internal Defense (FID), Unconventional Warfare (UW), Direct Action (DA), Special Reconnaissance (SR), Personnel Recovery (PR), Escape and Evasion (EE), Counterterrorism (CT), Counter Insurgency (COIN) missions.

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a US Government or NATO Secret Level Clearance.
