Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team!

In this role you will serve as a task leader responsible for operating treatment and remediation systems, collecting samples of various environmental media, and preparing reports, charts and graphs in support of remediation activiti. Work will be performed in our office and at our client’s property in the Fayetteville, NC area. There will be an extensive amount of field work in support of this project.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plans and directs interdisciplinary environmental project.

  • Serves as a technical leader and as a recognized expert in field of practice.

  • Field team and schedule management

  • Provides regulatory compliance consulting services as an authority in field of specialty.

  • Interaction with the client and other contractors.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree in a science curriculum related to the assigned discipline

  • 5-10 years of related work experience including experience as a task leader

  • Requires a demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills

  • Practical experience collecting samples of environmental media including the programing and operation of automated samplers.

  • Thorough understanding of all environmental rules and regulations

  • Ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project

  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER Training

Salary Range:

$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
