Parsons is now hiring an experienced Airport Civil Design Manger following skills sets below to support our client at IAH Houston International Airport.
Overall working knowledge of the civil design, engineering, and systems elements of airports infrastructure and supporting facilities.
Demonstrable establishment of collaborative relationships with stakeholders involved in planning, design, and construction of airport facilities (airport, community and government).
Minimum 10 years of experience in the management of project design including significant time at large airports.
Experience in the design development of new/expanded facilities while maintaining operations.
Professional registration is required at this level. Must be licensed in the State of Texas or must be able to acquire license within six (6) months.
Monitor Design Consultant contract requirements against deliverables.
Manage scope of each design submittal package.
This position requires comprehensive knowledge of Airfield engineering and design.
This position requires comprehensive knowledge of FAA standards and requirements.
Traffic engineering experience will also be looked at favorably.
Facilitate responses to RFI’s between the project team and Design Consultant
Coordinate and schedule design workshops between Design Consultant, HAS and other stakeholders.
Support the Project Manager to coordinate, schedule, and assist with constructability reviews during all phases of design.
Document design-related issues, decisions, and actions within HAS Document Control System and manage to resolution.
Work with the HAS Sustainability Manager to Monitor and track sustainability plan development and LEED component tracking in coordination with Design Consultant.
Work with the HAS Commissioning Manager to support start-up and commissioning efforts as necessary including witnessing performance testing.
Develop the scope and selection criteria. Support Houston Airport System procurement as required.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering related technical/business field
12+ years of related asset management experience is required, with 5+ years of related Aviation/Airport experience on related projects
Professional registration preferred
