Do you have IT experience and an interest in engineering systems? If so, Parsons has an opportunity for you! We are seeking an IT Engineering Systems (ES) Support Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity to put your IT skills to work supporting marquee critical infrastructure projects that will change the urban fabric of our community. Parsons extensive experience in this field combined with your IT and engineering systems knowledge will propel your career forward. We need our Specialists at this level to provide support in the delivery, administration, customization and maintenance of new and existing engineering or design applications.
Under general supervision, you will competently perform all standard and non-standard engineering systems support functions for Parsonsengineering systems. The successful candidate will independentlyanalyze questions, issues and problems arising in the use of engineering systems and selects solutions based on an independent evaluation of the situation and sound technical judgment. Our Support Specialist will investigate and solve recurring engineering application issues to promote a stable and reliable computing environment. You may provide training to software and systems users and assist in the preparation of technical documentation.While Charlotte, NC is the preferred location for this position, other Parsons office locations are available for the right candidate.
4-year degree in Computer Science, information systems, engineering or related technical discipline, with experience in both engineering and IT.
6-10 years of progressive experience developing technical architecture and performing project management to meet specific ES-related business requirements, using collaborative engineering or application systems.
Application Packaging experience using tools such as Installshield, Adminstudio, SCCM, Numecent Cloudpaging, App-V, Citrix preferred. Virtualization/application streaming deployment tools is a plus.
One or more of the following certifications preferred: PMP. Industry-related AEC certifications such as BIM or LEED. Vendor certifications (E.g., Autodesk, Bentley, Intergraph and ESRI). Microsoft Windows Operating systems (E.g., Microsoft Certified Engineer), SQL.
