Ready to put yourpiping design skills to work on acomplex Oil and Gas project? Would you enjoy working closely with other Designers and Engineers on a multi-discipline team to ensure a coordinated design? Parsons is now hiring a Piping Designer with3D Modelingand Minimum 10+ years of experiencefor a marqueeFederal project based in Houston, TX.Parsons' extensive experience in this industry and your design knowledge and technical skills will propel your career forward in Piping Design. In this role, you will complete highly-technical and complex design assignments within Plant and Piping Design, utilizing Intergraph SmartPlant 3D software. You willbe tasked with checking designs and layouts of completed mechanical systems and components of the project, while providing feedback and resolving various design errors.3D Modeling experience using SmartPlant 3Dis a must!

Responsibilities:

  • Checks completed plant and piping designs and layouts for complete systems and components of a project.

  • Checking both DEMO and NEW PID’s with plant layout and design and equipment applicable to the respective discipline.

  • Check the tie-in list, line list, valve list and specialty item list

  • Ensures compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and client requirements.

  • Understands and applies commonly used company design standards and methods.

  • Reviews and redlines orthographic and isometrics.

  • Collaborates with Engineers and Designers to ensure quality of design.

Qualifications :

  • 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Piping Design required. Oil and Gas Industry preferred.

  • 3D Modeling experience required

  • Facilities design experience with ASME B31.3 and B31.4

  • Demonstrated proficiency with SmartPlant 3D required

  • Demonstrated PC and CADD skills required

  • U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement.

  • A National Agency check will be required for this position.
