Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mid-Level AFSIM Developer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide a critical role in our nation’s defense by bringing together intelligence-backed, medium to high fidelity threat system models developed across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise into an integrated wargame simulation environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develops and integrates a variety of weapon system models, including electronic warfare systems, communication systems, radar systems, command and control systems, surface to air missile systems, gun-based defense systems as well as mobile ground and air platforms.
Defining requirements and designing solutions for modeling and simulation software
Participating in technical discussions to assist in near-term and long-term planning
Developing software and automated tests using C/C++ and Python on Windows and Linux Platforms
Troubleshooting and reporting software anomalies in a complex environment
Working alongside a team, including mentoring junior software developers on RF technologies, signal processing, C++, development practices, software design
Managing code quality through version control, code review, automated software builds, and automated unit testing
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience OR
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution with 3+ years of professional experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a current active Secret clearance.
Active Secret clearance, and you must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance after start of employment.
Strong C++ programming skills
RF hardware and signal processing experience in communications, radar, electronic support, or electronic attack systems
Experience developing products with regular release cycles
Candidate must have good written and oral communication skills, as well as a desire to work with a highly technical team including classified customers
What Desired Skills You'll Bring :
Experience with the threat system model modeling in TMAP, ODESSA, ESAMS, AFSIM or ITASE
Software development in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment
Experience leading an AGILE software development team
Mentoring experience
Experience designing, developing, or operating code for a distributed processing environment.
Experience with working with environmental datasets and RF propagation through the environment
Experience with Gitlab or Jenkins

Salary Range:
$92,200.00 - $161,400.00
