Job Description:

Are you looking for a new job opportunity in the defense and aerospace industry? Parsons is looking for a skilled Electronics Technician to provide technical support for reverse engineering, test hardware assembly, setup, and calibration; and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing of foreign equipment. Parsons is a pioneer in reverse engineering, and this position is at the forefront of evaluating threat system hardware. Job Description :

Individuals will directly support task leads in the execution of complex engineering projects. Specific duties include...

  • Circuit-level analysis, subsystem-level test and evaluation, system-level operations, evaluation, maintenance, and repair; and technical documentation and reporting.

  • The position requires hands-on work, sometimes involving small/delicate or damaged components.

  • Limited (<10%) CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required.

Required Clearance :

  • TOP SECRET/SCI (preference will go to those with an active clearance).

Required Education & Experience :

  • This position requires a technical degree in electronics engineering or equivalent experience in electrical/electronics assembly or testing.

  • You must have technical knowledge of printed circuit boards and be capable of interpreting complex wiring and schematic diagrams.

  • Formal training/work experience in electronics/electro-mechanical systems including but not limited to computer hardware/software, communications systems, control systems, sensors, and servo-actuators.

  • Ability to read schematics; fabricate electrical cables/interfacing circuits from engineering drawings; use standard test equipment including multi-meters/oscilloscopes/network analyzers for troubleshooting/repair.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Mature judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively interact with team personnel and customer representatives.

Preferred Experience

  • Military experience in these highly desirable skills will be given preference as well: Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Avionics repair, Elector Optical/Infra-Red Sensor repair, Electronics troubleshooting/repair on military systems, Electromagnetic Warfare.

  • Knowledge of military weapon systems and ground support equipment.

  • Knowledge of advanced software packages such as Altium and HTML-based word processing.

  • Advanced capability to operate Microsoft Office software suite.

  • Laser and EO/IR operations.

  • Design and fabrication, such as welding, machining, CNC, and 3-D printing.

  • Capable of independently developing operational and test procedures and documenting results in formal reports.

  • Experience planning and conducting test operations in austere field environments.

Salary Range:

$18.61 - $32.55
