Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Radar Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide radar systems engineering support for the development of a ground based, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) radar.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support system level requirements development, proposal evaluation, performance modeling and assessments, radar resource design/management, tracking, discrimination, signal processing, test and evaluation, and verification to ensure sensor performance meets system requirements
Provide Systems Engineering expertise, knowledge, analysis, and process management to identify, analyze, and document system, design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements to include risk assessments and mitigation development
Provide independent technical and programmatic assessment
Collaborate across the MDA organizations
Present technical information to MDA Leadership at various levels
Limited travel with no more than 1-2 trips anticipated in the first year
Develop requisite material and participate in the Systems Engineering IPT
Develop and perform trade-studies, and evaluate contractor proposals on system scalability to address future performance requirements
Support the development and execution of a Risk Management Plan
Support the development of Failure Review Boards, System Engineering Technical Reviews, Engineering Change Proposals, and Configuration Management Plan.
Participate in multi-disciplinary IPT to support design, system integration, Interoperability, and fielding
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
Secret Clearance or higher required
Works independently, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to identify, analyze, and document system, design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements to include risk assessments
Experience implementing systems engineering "V" processes
Ability to self-manage and initiate within team structure
Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements
Ability to work across organizational boundaries
Ability presenting complex information and concepts to Leaders at various levels
Proficient with Microsoft Office® applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Working knowledge of MDA Systems Engineering processes and procedures
Working knowledge of MDA organizational structure
Working knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS) architecture and concepts

Salary Range:
$92,200.00 - $161,400.00
