Parsons is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work with the Missile Defense Agency Technology Maturation Program Commercialization and Transition group. Duties include aligning emerging technology innovation for the Commercialization mission by conducting engineering assessments and identifying promising emerging technologies for transitioning into Ballistic Missile Defense System.
The selected candidate will have the ability to identify and resolve complex issues across organizational boundaries requiring in-depth knowledge of engineering fields in structural, propulsion, optical, chemistry, physics, operations research, mathematics, and computer science fields. Duties include aligning emerging technology innovation for the Commercialization mission by conducting engineering assessments and identifying promising emerging technologies for transitioning into Ballistic Missile Defense System. Providing direct support to the government customer in overseeing the progress of active research efforts and providing clear and accurate reporting back to the government customer.
5 + years of related experience
Active Secret Clearance
Demonstrated expertise in project management needed to plan and develop emerging technology capabilities and analysis priorities.
Demonstrated knowledge of BMDS to successfully develop and optimize technologies for next generation missions utilizing system and component analysis principles required to successfully transition technology with system architecture.
Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate projects across multiple organizations
Demonstrated skill and experience in managing the development of technical products
Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications, developing and presenting briefing and preparing technical reports.
Desired skills would include tracking and managing fast tempo projects with attention to detail and schedule.
Experience in some or all of the following: Hypersonic, Seeker, Aero-Thermal, Testing experience, Additive Manufacturing, Technology Development, Emerging Technology, BMDS, Ballistic Missile Defense System, Small Business Innovation Research, SBIR
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
