Parsons is seeking a Small Satellites System Engineer. In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency Technology Maturation Program efforts providing direct technical and programmatic support to the Nanosat Testbed Initiative (NTI). NTI leverages readily available, small , low cost satellites (Class D) as test platforms to demonstrate advanced missile defense system technologies in relevant operational environments, providing risk reduction for future kill vehicles, sensors, and automated operations for missile defense.
Participates as a member of a team comprised of system engineers and application and hardware engineers/developers for the design and testing of unique subsystems that will be ultimately integrated into the missile defense system.
You will participate in engineering technical reviews to ensure planned engineering implementations are consistent with intended requirements. Support (NTI) with planning and managing ground segment development and integration of satellite requirements into the Missile Defense Space Center.
Provide Direct support to government customer at coordination meetings with other government agencies and site visits with contractors and university affiliated research centers. Provide support to the small satellite team with planning, requirements integration, process coordination, and documentation necessary to execute the mission.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
8+ years of related experience
Degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical/Communications Engineering from an accredited institution
Active Top Secret clearance
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
