POSITION OVERVIEW :
Senior Systems Engineer/Analyst to support Missile Defense Agency Ground Based Midcourse Defense Program efforts and provide Ground Systems engineering support directly related to the interface design/documentation. Expertise in Huntsville, AL. Will directly support Ground Systems Engineering team. This position requires outstanding written and verbal skills as well as MS office skills.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop GMD Element and component requirements, maintain requirements traces to the BMDS System Specification and to Component/Product and lower level contractor specifications; develop and document requirements allocation across the GM Program; Develop and deliver GM internal and external Interface specifications updates and traces; Perform GM Element-level requirements
and verification requirements generation, tracking and documentation. Support development, maintenance, and control of internal and external interfaces. Review and evaluate ICDs, to include Interface Control Specifications (ICSs) and Interface Design Documents (IDDs), for both vertical and horizontal interfaces. Coordinate with interface teams and participate in interface reviews and working groups, as well as TIMs. Prepare briefings, reports, and meeting summaries, including recommendations for corrective actions.Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish tasks.Provide oversight on Prime Contractor Product deliveries.Exceptional written and verbal skills required.
Candidate must have a BS or BA college degree. Prefer Engineering or related technical degree
7+ years of experience with GMD or MDA Interface programs from a Prime development level or service support level effort
Demonstrated ability to deliver products on schedule
Experience with Missile Defense Agency, preferred GMD experience / MDA Interface requirements experience
Capability to develop and present program briefings to senior management-level personnel
Candidate must have a Secret Clearance, prefer a Top Secret
Mastery of technical knowledge required to effectively resolve difficult and complex engineering problems for devising unique solutions to meet client requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to serve in a leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with team members, managers, and clients on difficult and complex software issues pertaining to assigned tasks.
