Provide system engineering support to the GMD Ground Systems Launch Site Components (LSC) group.
Conduct technical evaluation of contractor proposals, evaluate the proposed Basis of Estimates (BOE) to ensure proposed labor hours are fair and reasonable to accomplish the work specified in the Statement of Work (SOW).
Participate in Hardware Acceptance Reviews (HAR) to ensure that development contractor-built hardware meets the required specifications and configuration, and provides adequate drawings.
Participate in the Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) to ensure that the work packages are consistent with the SOW, adequate resources are available for the assigned tasks, have adequate Earned Value Management System (EVMS) procedures, and that the management process supports successful execution of the program.
As a member of LSC Integrated Product Team (IPT), coordinate issues crossing organizational boundaries, such as risk assessment and mitigation of the impacts of other GMD components and specialties on the completion of a missile field.
Coordinate preparation of requirement documents such as Facility Requirements Document (FRD), Interface Control Documents (ICD), Interface Control Specifications (ICS), Interface Definition Documents (IDD), and Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS) pertaining to LSC.
Provide periodic monitoring of the development contractors’ activities on-site.
Working knowledge of project schedule development and evaluation to support the Government in monitoring/coordinating the LSC projects, including hardware fabrication, delivery, installation on missile fields and testing. Identify the critical path to assist government/contractor develop adequate mitigations, and recommend proactive actions.
2 + years of related experience
BS or BA Degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution
Must hold aSecret Clearance
