Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Target Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to p rovide support to the Target and Countermeasures - Long Range Targets (TCI) program Chief Systems Engineer and assist in executing System Engineering responsibilities detailed in the Missile Defense Agency/Target and Countermeasures Systems Engineering Plan for that program.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support technical baseline management of the system design
Support of engineering technical reviews including design and test execution reviews
Review and evaluation of prime contractor objective evidence in support of milestone reviews
Review and evaluation of non-conformances and engineering change requests
Technical support for acquisition including development of statement of work, support of independent Government cost estimate and proposal evaluation
Review and evaluation of prime contractor work packages
Development of technical briefings and decision packages
Inspection of bonded components, harness/cable routing, and missile system components
Interpretation of flight test requirements and coordination with stakeholders
Participation in working groups, forums, and technical meetings
Drawing reviews to aid in real-time changes
Review prime contractor command media and extrapolate pertinent information
Provide status reports of activities
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
Works independently and/or leads sub-teams, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Familiarity with MDA and system engineering processes is highly desired
Experience in missile system assembly, integration, and test is highly desired
Technical experience in support of the acquisition of missile systems
Knowledge of hazardous operations (Ordnance, Lifts/ Movements, and Pressure)
Strong presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft tools (e.g. MS Word, Project, PowerPoint)
Travel, ≈ 20%
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Secret

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $161,400.00
