THAAD Advanced Risk Systems Engineer

Parsons is seeking an Advanced Risk Systems Engineer to support the KSA FMS Integration Task Force in the assessment of current THAAD performance and the identification/mitigation of risks related to delivery of future FMS case capabilities. Assess and identify gaps or interdependencies between THAAD FMS case weapon system performance and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of requirements and delivery schedules. Duties require close coordination with MDA/DE and the FMS customer to identify and recommend prioritization of future development for the weapon system. Assists in the development and coordination of change documentation to align both FMS customer needs and ongoing U.S. development. The engineer may be required to represent the KSA Integration TF Lead during coordination meetings with the THAAD Project Office or MDA as directed; reviews performance, reports and deliverables from the prime contractor to assess and report status.

Experience Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or related field), and 12+ years of related work experience with at least 9 years’ experience as a system engineer.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Capability to use the Microsoft Office package to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project.

  • Ability to work independently. Familiarity with THAAD and MDA Systems Engineering Process and Acquisition Management procedures.

  • Willingness to learn new processes and procedures and discipline to follow established procedures.

  • Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity and past experience with THAAD Weapon System and/or Missile Defense Agency.
