Parsons Corporation Associate Civil Engineer - Drainage/Hydrology Design in Indianapolis, Indiana

Parsons is seeking an entry level Drainage Design Engineer to design transportation road and highway projects for Indiana DOT and surrounding region. We are actively looking for a great candidate to join our stable and growing Indianapolis office. The successful candidate will work with a team to ensure projects are designed in accordance with current manuals and specifications, as well as following accepted industry practices and procedures.

This position is open to new or recent graduates of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in Civil Engineering.
Work will include watershed delineations, hydrology calculations, hydraulic modeling for bridges, culverts, storm sewer design and layout, ditch capacity calculations, water quality and stormwater detention routing analysis.
Complete a variety of assignments utilizing CAE/CAD or GIS as applicable.
Detailed engineering analyses will be presented in calculations, technical reports / exhibits, constructionplans / details and quantity calculations.
Other duties may include assisting with roadway design, temporary erosion control and environmental permits. Candidate will interface with CAD designers, other engineers and clients.
The successful candidate will gain great water resources experience in transportation engineering not only in Indiana but across the nation.
Review small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Collaborate with Designers and Engineers working on the same projects.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
4-year degree in civil engineering
0-2 years or more of related work experience
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred
Any experience or previous internship work with state DOT highway projects desirable
Familiarity with the following design software is also a plus: Microstation, Inroads, Bentley Hydraulic and Hydrology Software, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HY8, TR-20, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, BlueBeam
