We are seeking aProject Support Manager (PSM), to support various Project and Program Managers on large transportation projects in the Indianapolis regionl In this role, you are theProject Manager’s trusted partner, working across the whole project lifecycle, managing cross-functional resources to support successful project execution and compliance with company requirements.This is role for someone to hone and develop their skills to work into a full Project Manager position, managing complex road/highway or bridge projects valued up to $50M.

In this role, you willprovide internal project operations support to project managers and project teams in our Indianapolis/Ohio/Kentucky region,to ensure compliance with Parsons internal requirements and project management best practices. You will be expected tocontribute to proposal development anticipating the costs for support services required to manage risk and ensure successful execution. Post award, you willcollaborate with the project manager to mobilize company resources. You may be manageg a group of support staff to facilitate project initiation, negotiation, setup, configuration, and resource planning and estimating; scheduling; procurement and subcontracting; project reporting; project billing and payments; cost reporting and forecasting; risk, issue, and change management; document and records management; quality and safety management; project closeout; and other internal project requirements.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

Focusing primarily on internal company policies, procedures, and best management practices, thePSM supports project managers in execution of business, fiscal, and administrative functions, on a portfolio of projects.

Administrative functions could include development and execution of mobilization plans; ensuring a thorough understanding of the contract terms among the entire project team; establishment of a Project Execution Plan, Project Management Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Management Plan, and/or other project management / governance documents

Act as the liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to establish project teams; and at the end of the project assist with staff reassignments and project closeout.

Discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with the profit center and department managers.

Assists project managers and key project individuals to manage changes, develop actions plans, cost estimates, and change order requests.

Assists project managers in promoting technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Management processes.

Assists project managers with performance and progress monitoring and reporting, including significant milestones, and conditions which may affect project cost or schedule.

Assists project managers with weekly project meeting to review project status and formulate action items. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

4-year degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and at least 12+ years of related work experience is required. Incumbent should have a broad background as well as previous project management experience on similar or related projects.

Must have project engineering or project support experience on either Road/Highway or Bridge projects.

Ability to facilitate, coordinate and execute the operations types of functions on an engineering transportation project.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :

Incumbent must meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
